Baby J

I loved meeting this sweet 5 day old baby girl!  She was SUCH a good sleeper… which is another reason why I love shooting babies when they are BRAND new.  She was in that deep, deep sleep that only a brand new baby can get.

She is the cutest little baby.  She is tiny, but has some meat on her – especially her cheeks.  I love a baby with cheeks!   Here are a few of my favorites from the session.  Thank you to her wonderful family for letting me be a part of such a special time in your family’s life.  Welcome to the world sweet baby J.

Baby boy on the way

Well my title is actually a lie, the baby boy is here!  He arrived a little earlier than expected… and mom and baby are doing wonderfully!  I can’t wait to meet him.  In the meantime I wanted to share some of my favorite pictures from our maternity session.   I always love meeting new families, especially ones like this.  They were so sweet, natural in front of the camera, and go with the flow at the shoot.  Their daughter is too cute for words.  She was such a good subject – lots of giggles, smiles, curiosity, and playfulness – all of which I love to capture.  And isn’t this mom-to-be just GORGEOUS?  If only pregnancy was this way for all of us ;)

I can’t wait to meet baby C.  In the meantime, here are a few of my favorites from our session.

Sweet baby boy

I loved meeting this sweet boy.  Partly due to the fact that his family has become one of my favorite families that I have gotten to know over the past couple of years.  They are literally the nicest people you will ever meet.  This little boy is one lucky baby!

They are also pretty lucky… he is such a good, laid back, easy going baby.   He was a complete angel for our shoot… I hardly heard a peep from him.  And isn’t he just the cutest little thing?  I love his pouty lips and his full head of hair.  He is such a blessing for his parents and his big sister.  Thank you to his wonderful family for inviting me to be a part of such a special time.  Here are just a few of my favorites from our shoot.

Blog_BabyK001Blog_BabyK002Blog_BabyK003Blog_BabyK004Blog_BabyK005and as a side note… doesn’t his momma look AMAZING?!  Did she really just give birth a week ago and has been getting zero sleep with a newborn?  How does she look so pretty?

chubby cheeks!

There are few things in this world that I love more than a good set of chubby cheeks (on a baby that is).  This little guy fits that bill :)  He makes me smile so much… how could you not love him?  He is a complete sweetheart too.  I’ve been around him quite a bit over the past three months and have yet to hear him fuss or make a peep.  I can’t wait to watch him grow up over the next year!

We met at the orange grove because his 3 month birthday happens to fall during orange season.  We had fun in the grove… orange trees catch such beautiful light.

Here are just a few of my favorites from our session:

Blog_RecentSessions005Blog_RecentSessions006Blog_RecentSessions007And we can’t forget these two!  I can’t believe how quickly the years are passing.

And last but not least, as I was photographing their baby brother these two posed themselves!!  Could you not die?  How cute are they?

Our baby – 11 months

It has been a while since I posted one of these!  The months of September through December are insane for any photographer, and therefore fun “extras” fall by the wayside.  So does showering.  But that’s neither here nor there.

I can’t believe we are closing in on a YEAR.  The past 5 months have been a blur of milestone after milestone after milestone.  She went from an infant to a toddler overnight.  Her little personality burst (or roared) onto the scene.  I just can’t get over this little PERSON who has appeared before our eyes.

She weighs about 23 – 24 lbs.  She is still not sleeping through the night, although she has a few times.  Most nights she wakes 1-2 times.  She eats LOTS of solids.. especially broccoli, sweet potatoes, and these little healthy “pancakes” I make that are basically coconut flour, canned pumpkin, and egg.  She is a hearty eater and loves her veggies.  She loves to “cruise” or push ANYTHING around the house… her little push stroller, our trash can, hamper, diaper pail, her high chair, our kitchen chairs… you name it, anything becomes her “walker”.  She loves animals, especially our dog Robbie.  The feeling is not mutual.  She is a generally happy baby, except when she gets into something she shouldn’t be in and I have to pry her away from it or when getting diaper changed/changed/nose wiped/anything of that sort.  Meltdown.

Here are a few recent pictures… more to come as she approaches 1.

Also, I feel I must mention that these are just “snapshots” and aren’t meant to be a representation of my professional work.  I don’t edit my everyday pictures.  You will notice bruises on her forehead in many pictures and other photography imperfections… I’m okay with that ;)

Onto some pics

I just love this sweet face… can’t get enough of it!

Little scrunch nose she does all the time… it cracks me up

She is into EVERYTHING.  If you need a cabinet or drawer unpacked, she’s your girl!  She will have it dismantled in no time

Blog_L11months006She loves being on the go!

Food food food

I swear I spend 79% of my time preparing food, feeding food, cleaning up after food, loading and unloading dishwasher from said food…

ALMOST walking…. she has taken a few steps here and there

New big girl bath tub!

More to come soon :)
